Charles Ray Hebert, our beloved husband, dad, and grandfather journeyed home to join our Heavenly Father Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013.
A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Living Word Church at 1916 Hwy 311 in Schriever. Funeral services will be at noon Monday at the church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Grace Greco Hebert; daughters, Cindy Pitre and husband, Eric, Cherisse Clement and husband, Roland, Cheryl Clement and husband, Glenn, and Catrice "Cat" B. Hebert; grandchildren, Dylan and Misti Clement, Dustin and Ross Clement, and Jessica and Jordan Bullock; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne Robichaux; and brother, Donald Hebert Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucien and Maude Bernard Hebert; brothers, Calvin Hebert and Lucien "L.J." Hebert Jr.; and grandchildren, Jake Clement and Beau Bullock.
He retired with 40 years of service with Louisiana Coca-Cola Bottling Co. serving as a district manager and retiring as director of public relations. He served with the military police in the U.S. Army. He was a fireman for many years with Fire Company No. 1 in the Thibodaux Fire Department, even serving as the fair chairman. He received the "1965 Thibodaux Outstanding Young Man of the Year" award! He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, and served on the board of directors of St. Joseph Hospital. He also served on the board of directors for the American Legion, and on the Louisiana Housing Authority Board.
Our Dad was an awesome person. We are so thankful and feel so blessed that God gave him to us. He was a Godly man, a gentleman and a man of integrity. He was highly respected by his family and all who knew him. He will be sadly missed until we see him again in eternity.
