Nesa Patricia Cancienne Bourg, 73, a native of Lake Charles and resident of Gray, died at 5:20 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Bridget Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her spouse of 55 years, Gilbert Bourg Jr.; our special adopted family, Melinda Sanders Fabre, husband, Jimmy, and daughter, Isabella; godchildren, Scott Pellegrin and wife, Michele, Vickie Cancienne, Robert Callahan, Jessie Pellegrin, Jody Naquin and wife, Michelle, Kacy Pellegrin McManus and husband, Josh, and Phyllis Cancienne; brothers, Latin Cancienne Jr. and wife, Nell, and Larry Cancienne; sisters, Karen "Kim" Breaux and husband, Scotty, and Nancy "Mitzi" Naquin and husband, Jackie; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Latin Cancienne Sr. and Nesa Strickland; mother and father-in-law, Marie Louise Toups Bourg and Gilbert Bourg Sr.; and godchild, Melinda Callahan Vail.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
