Lynne Margaret Foret, 77, a native of New Iberia and resident of Houma, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dudley Foret; son, Morgan Foret and wife, Roxanne; daughters, Tammy Savoie and husband, Keith, and Mary Beth Clement and husband, Burnell; sisters, Colleen Foret and Mary Deroche; grandchildren, Kristi Bergeron, Jessica Smith, Ryan Clement, Jacob McDonald, Nicholas Clement, Shane Foret, Brandon Clement, Steven Savoie, Matthew Foret and Nicole Foret; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Bourgeois and Eula Benoit; and stepfather, Gaston Benoit.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and loved spending time with her family. She was especially fond of the Christmas holiday season. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.
