Doris H. "Dot" Naquin, 83, a native and resident of Thibodaux, was born Dec. 9, 1930, and passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church. A Mass of Christina burial will be at noon Thursday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
She is survived by her children, Eric Naquin and wife, Ronda, of Bellevue, Wash., Mark Naquin and wife, Gwen, of Houma, and Mona Gary and husband, Jimmy, of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Danielle Naquin, Taylor and Benton Naquin, and Emma and James Gary; sister, Ruth Knight; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Warren P. "Mammy" Naquin; parents, Phillip Hebert and Marion Delatte Hebert; sisters, Velma Ledet, Pearl LeBlanc, and Merlyn Hebert; brothers, Dewey, Scuddy, Stanley, and Junius Hebert; daughter-in-law, Lori Talbot Naquin; and granddaughter, Grace Marion Gary.
Dot was a loving and sweet wife, mother, "maw maw", and friend. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, as well as visiting with her many friends. She always had a sweet smile and a positive attitude, and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to Dr. James Ellis and his staff, as well as the caring staff and residents at Lafourche Home for the Aged.
