Larry J. Usea, 55, a native of Kraemer and resident of Choupic, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014.

Visitation will be from 7:30 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Julia Adams Usea; daughter, Holly Usea Bergeron and husband, Bobby; parents, Larry Usea and Beulah Cortez Usea; brother, Kelly Usea; sisters, Lenora Usea Cortez and husband, Murphy, and Rhonda Usea; maternal grandmother, Beatrice Templet Cortez; mother-in-law, Rose Adams; brothers-in-law, Larry Adams and wife, Dorothy, Mark Adams and wife, Georgia, and Randy Adams and wife, Michelle; sister-in-law, Liz Nuccio and companion, Barry; grandchildren, Boston and Sawyer Bergeron; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and a great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Roberta Usea Tabor; maternal grandfather, Moise Cortez; paternal grandparents, Wilson and Claylee Kraemer Usea; and father-in-law, Julius Adams.
Larry was employed by Brock Enterprises for 27 years. He enjoyed cooking in his "shop" for family and friends and having everyone over to eat. In his spare time he loved to ride in his boat in the bayous and lakes.
