Paul Daze', 84, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Lafayette, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Philomena Church Hall. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Saturday at the hall, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Foret and husband, Bobby, and Gina Fox and husband, David; grandchildren, Cory Barrios, Jennifer (Kevin) Foret and Kaelon Fox; and numerous brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Guillot Daze'; granddaughter, Leila Foret; and numerous brothers and sisters.
He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who enjoyed barbecuing, boiling crawfish and drinking Scotch. He spent 29 years in the U.S. Air Force as a payroll officer. Upon retirement he embarked on a second career that lasted 30 years as an accountant/office manager for Fred Carreras Mechanical Contractors.
The family would like to thank Garden View Assisted Living for giving Dad a very warm and comfortable place during the last years of his life.
The family is also very grateful to Elmo Breaux, one of the kindest caregivers ever. Dad was so very fortunate to have him in his life.
