Georgette Guidry Guidroz, 90, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine "Gerry" Naquin Cedotal and husband, Randy; grandson, Todd Naquin and wife, Lori Duet Naquin; great-granddaughters, Marcelle, Madeline and Meredith Naquin; brother, Melvin Guidry; and numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Paul A. Guidroz; father, Charles Guidry; mother, Clemence Terrebonne Guidry; son, Gary Paul Guidroz; and brothers, Ludovic, Leno, Nolan, C.J. and Stanley Guidry.
Georgette was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. She was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette, Kaycee Auxiliary, Ladies of LaSalette Altar Society, Louisiana Volunteers for Family and Community, Inc. and Red Hat Ladies of Golden Meadow. Georgette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed outings with her lady friends.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staffs of The Suites at Sugar Mill Point, Haydel Memorial Hospice, The Broadway, Compass and her special caregivers.
