Floyd Andrew Mahler, 52, a native of Chackbay and resident of Raceland, was born April 26, 1962, and passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Memorial United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Resurrection Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Tammy Porche Mahler; children, Derek Porche, and Megan Mahler Daigle and husband, Jesse; granddaughters, I'niah and Mariah Daigle; father, David Mahler; brothers, Shelton Mahler and wife, Sandra, Ricky Mahler and wife, Sarah, and Douglas Mahler and wife, Cheryl; sister, Sandy Sandlin and husband, Dwight; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nolia Rodrigue Mahler.
Floyd was an employee of Louisiana DOTD for 30 years. He was a member of the Dusty Riders Club. He enjoyed hours riding his horse Snowflake and spending time with his family and many friends.
