Shirley Mae Davis Jackson, 76, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Thibodaux, died Monday, July 14, 2014.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Thibodaux and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Napoleonville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Peter Baptist Church Cemetery in Thibodaux.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail (Lancy) Meads, Janice (Clarence) Meads, Betty (Floyd) Skidmore, Genie Jackson, and Lorry (Elton) Bolden, of Thibodaux, and Shirley (Harold) Patterson, of Gonzales; sons, Warren (Joyce) Jackson and Paul (Yolanda) Davis, of Gray, and Mark (Kristie) Davis, of Union City, Georgia; brothers, Edison Davis Jr., Obra Davis Sr., Leonce Plant III, Clarence Kelley, and Melvin Plant Sr.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson; son, Donald Jackson; parents, Alma and Edison Davis Sr.; and sisters, Eula Pearl Thibodeaux, Audrey Garrett, and Joyce Ann Williams.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
