Edna Coleman

Edna Mae Coleman, 61, a native of Belle Rose, former resident of New Orleans and resident of Rosenberg, Texas, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at First Israel Baptist Church in Belle Rose. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, LaTonya and husband, Bryon Sandifer, of Harvey and LaChristal Coleman of New Orleans; three sons, Jonathan and Nickeo Coleman of Rosenberg, Texas and Thomas Coleman Jr. of New Orleans; two brothers, Williams and wife, Jeanette Banks, and Ellis and wife, Mildred Banks all of Belle Rose; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was a patient care assistant at Richmond State School in Richmond, Texas.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.
