Marjorie Marie Thibodaux Guidry, 90, a native of Grand Caillou and resident of Houma, died at 8:02 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her sons, John McMeel, Frank Benoit and wife, Connie Stutzman Benoit, and Walton Benoit; stepsons, Tommy Guidry and wife, Brenda Landry Guidry, and Jack Guidry and wife, Janine Jackson Guidry; stepdaughters, Mary Ellen Guidry DuPont and husband, Albert, Claire Ann Guidry Barker and husband, Robert, and Angie Guidry Gautreaux and husband, Todd; and 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles McMeel, Joseph A. Benoit, and Percy Guidry; parents, Alfred and Bertha Fanguy Thibodaux; brothers, Charles Thibodaux and Walton Thibodaux; sisters, Clarice Thibodaux and Evette Moosa; and daughter-in-law, Margie McMeel.
She was a parishioner of St Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She was a graduate of St. Francis De Sales class of 1939.
She enjoyed music, dancing, playing cards, trips to the casino, reading and crossword puzzles.
