Marie Talbot Daigle, 90, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Houma, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her sons, David Daigle and wife, Mary, of Houma and Michael Daigle and wife, Dawn, of Houma; daughter, Elaine Daigle Richard of Houma; grandchildren, Denise Madere, Carmen Richard, Melanie Daigle, Amy Daigle, Brian Daigle, Emily Daigle and Ethan Daigle; great-grandchildren, Austin Richard, Grant Madere, Olivia Madere and MacKenci Daigle; and brothers, Dudly Talbot, Calvin Talbot, Mert Talbot.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin J. Daigle; parents, Junius Louis Talbot and Agnes Arboneaux Talbot; and brothers, Junius Talbot, Archie Talbot and John Talbot.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting, knitting, gardening and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very religious woman and was an inspiration to her family and friends. She was a catechism teacher and a member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
