Alfredo Franco

Alfredo Enrique Franco, 68, of Kingwood, TX passed away in the year of our Lord, Sat., July 10, 2012.

Alfredo a native of Venezuela, immigrated to the US in 1967. Alfredo embraced and embodied the American Dream by becoming a US citizen in 1970. His life, his family, and his success are a true testament to his character.

Alfredo had a unique career that began with Otis Engineering over 45 years ago. He was an accomplished petroleum engineer in the oil industry and has worked in over 55 different countries throughout his lifetime. His love of work, travel and culture, love of family and friends and true passion for life has been the cornerstone of his success and achieving his dreams. Alfredo will truly be missed by all of those who had the pleasure of working with him and by his loving family.

Alfredo was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Edmonson Franco; by his parents, Alfredo Ignacio Franco, Sr. and Rubia Urdaneta-Franco. He is survived by his three sons, Alfredo Enrique Franco, Jr., David Baylis Franco and Eduardo David Franco-Vargas; by his siblings, Angel E. Franco, Aida Franco-Araujo, Maria Franco-Calderas, Alberto Franco, Alcira Franco, Adelfa Franco-Boren and Alfredo Ignacio Franco; by his aunt, Virginia Nunez and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation/memorial service will be held in celebration of his life, from 6 pm. to 8 pm. on Tues., July 17, 2012 at Kingwood Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Houma, Louisiana on Thurs., July 19, 2012.
