Clarence Toups

Clarence J. Toups, "C.J.", 68, a native and resident of Thibodaux, passed away on Nov. 3, 2012.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, at St. Genevieve Church from 8:30 a.m. till funeral time. A mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. at St. Genevieve. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Hebert Toups; children, Kelly Perque and husband Bobby Perque, Scott Toups and wife Amy, and Shelly Toups; grandchildren, Allison and Mason Perque, Drake Duet, Branan Terry, Bryson, Olivia and Georgie Toups; brother, Larry Toups; sisters, Ruth Crappel, Faye Martin, Merlyn Aucoin, Marilyn Dugas and Judy Rothwell.

Preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eve Toups; brother, Glenn Toups.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from J. Ray McDermott. He was a great husband, father, friend, brother and the greatest "PeePaw" in the world. He had a love of Nascar and passed away doing what he loved best. C.J.'s love of life will be missed by all that knew him.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
