Dorothy Bourg Bergeron, 95, a native and resident of Houma, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Nolan Bergeron and wife, Toot Voisin Bergeron, Ronnie Bergeron and wife, Linda LeBoeuf Bergeron, and Gerald Bergeron and wife, Marlene Bergeron; daughters, Barbara Bergeron Welch, Sylvia Gray, and Nancy Bergeron Detiveaux and husband, Timmy Detiveaux; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Lawrence Bergeron; her parents, Harry and Louise Samanie Bourg; son, Harry Bergeron and his wife, Carolyn Savoie Bergeron; brother, Albert Bourg; sisters, Nora Breaux, Gertie Theriot, Evelina Gallier, Mildred Voisin and Lena Bourg Martin; and son-in-law, Floyd Gray.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She was a member of East Park Volunteer Auxiliary, a member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Altar Society and a member of the Krewe of Kajuns.
She was the co-owner of East Main Supermarket in Houma.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma.
