Raymond Francis Duprey Jr, 71, a native of Saranac Lake, N.Y., and a resident of Houma, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucille Hill Duprey; children, Wayne Duprey and wife, Janette, and their daughters Alexandra and Cheyenne of Debary, Fla., Brett Duprey and wife, Annie, and their sons, Raymond III and Michael, and their daughter, Lauren of Redford, Mich., and Mark Duprey and wife, Mary, of Cohoes, N.Y., and stepchildren, Max and Amiee LaPlume of Houma; sisters, Marcia Doty Perras and husband, Reggie of Raybrook, N.Y., and Joan Butler and husband, Tom, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and countless nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Francis Duprey Sr. and Irene Sweeney Duprey.
He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
He celebrated his life to the fullest everyday and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was not only a loving husband and father but our best friend.
