Agnes Duplechain Carroll, 80, died at 5:28 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013. She was a native of Oberlin and resident of Houma.

Visitation will be from noon until funeral time Tuesday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Bayou Black Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Darrin Paul Carroll and wife, Melissa, of Houma; daughter, Jeanne Carroll Richard, of Houma; grandchildren, Shantelle Abshire, Tiffany Van Pelt, Ross Carroll, Jacob Richard, Alexandra Richard, Jarod Richard, Jennifer Richardel, Amy Bonneval, Matthew Kirkland, Meredith Foreman and Michael Kirkland; several great-grandchildren; brother, James Duplechain; sisters, Cecile Blair and Kathy Maynard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Carroll Jr.; parents, Tansey and Buela Fusilier Duplechain; and sisters, Anne Barid, Della Mills and Betty Maddox.
She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She touched many lives in the community as Mom Carroll of the Ellendale Swim Team. She was a very active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. She was a part-owner of Bent Pages Bookstore for many years. She cared for many and will missed by all who knew her.
