Roy Mistretta Obituary
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma.
He is survived by his sons, Chris and Haley Mistretta, Roy A. and Kristi Mistretta III, and Chad and Anita Mistretta; grandchildren, Gracie Rose, Gage Christopher, Katelyn Ashlee, Kinzie Marie, Kohen (Roy IV), Kendra Rae, and Christina Marie; parents, Roy Anthony Mistretta Sr. and the late Rosalie Bowers Mistretta; and sister, Toni M. Gass.
Roy loved hunting and fishing. But most of all, his family and friends were the most important things in his life. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him, he's gone but will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or www.stjude.org.

Roy, myself, Eddie Cretin(cretin Homes) and Roy's cousin Gary Pagano built our camp/clubhouse right after Hurricane Betsy (1965). We used all that free wood that had floated back to the levee behind the woods at Bucaneer villa. Had some great times hunting and fishing. I remember my first drunk back at the camp, and falling in the fire.(smiles) Lost touch over the years. Great memories. May my buddy rest in peace.
