Marie Ledet Obituary
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Victory Life Church in Lockport. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Mary's Nativity Church Cemetery in Raceland.
She is survived by her children, Geraldine Babin (Gerald), Patsy Whipple, Barbara Knight (David), Beauregard Ledet Jr. (Paulette), Raymond Ledet Sr. (Patricia), Elizabeth Brooks (Kenneth), Lillie Ledet, Donna Rome (Reginald), Terry Thibodaux (Chris), Edgar Ledet (Lisa), Noreen Dardar (Thomas Jr.) Peter Ledet, Charlotte Johnson (Barry), Theodore "Ted" Ledet (Melanie); 37 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren; and half sister, Doris Shanchez.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Beauregard Ledet Sr.; father, Luicien Felician Landry; mother, Ernestine Russo; step-mother, Marie Vicknair; son, Curtis Ledet; grandson, Kenneth Brooks Jr.; great-grandson, Anthony Dardar; and siblings, Villier, Ernest, Moise, and Joseph Landry, Noby Levron, Elise Cheramie, Leona Crochet, Annie Matherne, Mildred Keller, Bernie Aucoin, and twins, Wilbert and Hazel Landry.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

I have many great memories of being at Sis. Ledet's house. She would always have a smile and that twinkle in her eye. I think she was always a step ahead of Charlotte and I. My thoughts and prayers are with you all today and tomorrow as you honor her life here on earth.
