Opal was a very sweet person. Although I was a Junior girl, I often went downstairs because she was in the suite with my first cousin, Ramona Cavness. I roomed with her sister, Ann, and her sister, Jean, was my suite mate and also a class mate. I was so pleased to see both Ann and Opal at the 100 Anniversary of the Academy and I also met one of Opal's sons. I felt a real bond with these three Richardson girls during my years at the SMBA.
Wishing you peace and comfort at this most difficult time.

I was a stranger to Opal, she welcomed me into her home, she fed me and made me feel wanted. A true act of love and kindness. Anita Murz (Perth, Australia)

Aunt Opal was a loving person who cared about so many people. She had an infinite sized heart and made all people around her comfortable and loved. She saw the good in life, and walked the high road in how she lived her life. She was the sunshine for those around her, and she was and will be a great role model for anyone who wants to live life as a caring, moral and fun-loving person who made the world a better place. She will be sorely missed.
