Dear Schneider Family, I was sorry to hear of of your loss. Pastor Schneider was a big part of my life. He was such a kind man & cared about everyone . II'm sorry I didn't see this news until after the service, as I would have been there for the Richter family.

To the Schneider Family: If there was one man who had more influence in my life and upbringing besides my Dad it was Pastor Schneider. I always had a sense everyday he was looking behind my shoulder. He taught me to be kind and good to others. So sad to see him go. One brief historic story I was w/ him at Stephen F. Austin State park on the back of his station wagon watching a black and white tv when Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon. So many memories. He raised a fine family. Bless you all. As for now I assume he is chatting w/ his son Phil. They must have a lot of catching up to do. Kirk

My sincere condolences to Lydia and family at this end of Jim's journey in this world. I trust beyond reason that he embraces a greater journey beyond the limits of earthly existence. The great work he did in clinical pastoral education as well in the insurance made him a vital link to the lives of many, enhancing life's opportunities for countless others. He was a true servant. I will never forget his leadership in my pastoral education from June - August in 1970 during a hot Houston summer. 'Well done thou good and faithful servant.'

Jeannie and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. Wish I had met him, as I was baptized and confirmed in the E&R Church in St. Louis, Mo, but became a Disciple after my move to Texas in 1967. I hope you and your family will be blessed with many happy memories of times spent with your father. May you find peace, strength and comfort in the days ahead.

Amy's wedding prayer a few years ago was the time I recognized his determined spirit. It was a sweet thing to remember him by.
I hope all the family have collected some of these moments

My memories of Jim are slightly skewed because, as a brother-in-law, my intro was late....after he and Lydia had grown children and grandchildren...i know he was proud of his kids...I'm not sure if he was as proud as he was of his cabin & tree farm...but I think the kids outranked. I have a memory of Jim meeting and driving us around in a front-entrance three-wheeled car which was a kick, if you didn't concentrate on his driving. I also tried to take him and Lydie to a "new" restaurant when they came for a visit...Jim would smile the whole time he ate...and he could eat. I also thought his smile was that of a river-boat gambler...stay on your toes. Bless him on this journey....
