John William "Billy" Bidwell, Jr., John William "Billy" Bidwell, Jr., 82, was born in DeWalt, TX on May 7, 1930 and left this earth Feb. 4, 2013. He was preceded in death by his brother Don and sisters Mary Helen, Anita Faye and Norma.
Billy graduated from J. H. Reagan HS-Houston in 1948 and University of Houston in 1952 where he played football. He served 2 yrs active duty in the U.S.Navy and 4 yrs in the Naval Reserve. In 1954 Billy joined the sales staff of Houston Shell & Concrete and retired in 1986. Billy married his adoring wife Caroll on 10/29/76. He was a good, faithful husband who made her very happy. Billy was a gentle soul with many friends and was an avid golfer.
Billy leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Caroll Bidwell of New Braunfels, TX, daughter Julie Rainey, grandsons Dylan and Cody Rainey, 3 great grandsons, 1 great granddaughter, sister Marjorie Rozelle and sister-in-law Jean Bidwell.
