Elsa Del Castillo, age 83, made her journey unto Our Lord on Friday, February 14, 2014. Mrs. Del Castillo was born in Havana, Cuba in the town of San Antonio de los Banos. She studied at The Instituto Civico Militar de Ceiba del Agua where she graduated at the top of her class, with honors with a teaching degree. She was a kindergarten school teacher for more than two decades. Mrs. Del Castillo is survived by her husband Francisco J. Del Castillo, MD, her daughter Teresa C. Del Castillo, son Francisco J. Del Castillo, Jr., DDS, two granddaughters, Erica Sedeno Goetgeluk, Alexandra Sedeno Marino and nephew Hector M. Alvarez. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the funeral home with interment following at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, teacher and wise, vivacious, optimistic and inspiring friend.
