Kathryn Clements Bradford 1947-2015 Kathryn Clements Bradford, 68, of Magnolia, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 12th, 2015. She was born February 9, 1947 in Waco, Texas to Samuel Thomas Clements and Doris Aline Clements. She was a kind, caring woman who loved her family and friends very much. Kathryn moved to Houston after marrying John Bradford Jr. where she attended college at the University of Houston, graduating with a Masters of Education. She worked as a diagnostician in special education for several years and after retirement returned to work as a substitute teacher. Kathryn truly loved teaching and helping children. Kathryn was a wonderful and loving sister, mother and grandmother, delighting in her family's accomplishments and milestones. She was a frequent attendee at her daughter Carolyn Wonderland's concerts, where she was known as Mamaland, and made many friends along the way. She was elated to welcome her first grandchild in May of 2013, and enjoyed their weekly playtime together. Kathryn is survived by her sister Jane Clements of Magnolia, her daughter Carolyn Bradford and her husband A. Whitney Brown of Austin, and her son John Bradford III, his wife Angela and their daughter Sofia of The Woodlands. Services will be held at Earthman Funeral Home, 8303 Katy Freeway on Saturday, April 25th. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am, followed by the memorial service at 10:00 am.

Buchanan, Jane - Wichita  
Jane Cox Buchanan 1936-2015 Jane Cox Buchanan … cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many passed away peacefully to her Heavenly home on April 22, 2015. Jane, was a 32 year breast cancer survivor who fought valiantly and always maintained her faith. Jane was born the 12th of February, 1936 in Wewoka, OK. Jane married her devoted husband James Buchanan. They settled in Wichita, KS where they opened James Buchanan Associates working together until their retirement upon which they moved to Houston, Texas. Jane was greatly involved in her church and always graciously opened up her home for Bible studies and church gatherings. After moving to Houston, she became very involved at Second Baptist Church where she developed many wonderful friends. She was known to all as a devoted prayer warrior and always saw the best in every situation; even with terminal cancer she was always a good and faithful servant. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 52 years James Lowell Buchanan, her two daughters Sydney (Roy) Dickie and Shana (Jeff) Wood as well as her grandchildren Jordan, Chase and Samuel Dickie and Jeffrey, Elizabeth, and Connor Wood all of whom she loved and adored. Jane's brothers Joe (Dorothy) and Johnny (Carolyn) Cox as well as many nephews and a niece survive her. Jane's parents Mabel and Carl, as well as her brother Jimmy and sister Joann Cox precede her in death. A celebration of Jane's life will be conducted at 2:00PM on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Hankamer Chapel at Second Baptist in Houston, TX. A family graveside service will be conducted at 1:00PM on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Ok. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to any of the following: Second Baptist Church, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Vitas Hospice Care all of Houston, TX. Cook, Joy - Houston  
Joy Elaine Cook 1929-2015 Joy Elaine Cook passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the age of 85. Joy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 13, 1929, to Norma and Ernest Harthun. She was married for many years to the love of her life, Grady Cook, until his passing in 1996. Joy was also preceded in death by her sons, Jeff Hulbert and Mark Hulbert; her brothers, Calvin Harthun and Warren Harthun; and her beloved cat, Devon. Joy is survived by her nieces, Becky Cozean and Pam Jordan; her nephews, Peter Harthun, Calvin Harthun, and Craig Harthun; by Grady's children, Melody Turner and Grant Cook; his step-children, Jill Cook Reyes and Ray Massey; his sister, Mary Neuhart; her beautiful cat, Mandy; and her many friends. Joy enjoyed listening to music, working in her yard, and walking with friends. A celebration of Joy's life will be held in a Memorial Remembrance on Friday April 24, 2015 at 11:00 A.M., at one of her favorite places, Clays Food and Drink, located at 17717 Clay Road, Houston, Texas 77084. Dickson, Dorothy - Houston  
Dorothy Manly Dickson 1929-2015 Dorothy Manly Dickson 86, passed away at Methodist Hospital on April 21, 2015 after a valiant 15 year battle with breast cancer. Dorothy was born in Houston, Texas on February 20, 1929 to William Fredrick Manly and Jewell Cordelia (Reed) Manly. Dorothy attended Austin High School and graduated in 1947. She was an active member of the Scottish Brigade. While working at Western National Gas, Dorothy met her beloved husband of 49 years, Roland Lawrence Dickson. Dorothy was a member of Westbury United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She believed Jesus was her friend and blessed her with strength each and every day. She was a member of Women's Missionary Society. Dorothy was also a member of Grief Support, which she looked forward going to twice a month for dinner to see her longtime friends. She was a member of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Texas Star Chapter and served as Chaplain. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, and "Maw". She loved her ranch in Burleson County known to all as the "Farm", where she loved to spend time with her family. Dorothy was a loving, kind, generous person who loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all her heart, and would do anything for them. She is survived by her son Mark Dickson and wife Mary of Houston, Texas, daughter Rhonda Hoelscher and husband Carl of Brenham, Texas, grandsons Mark and wife Kris, Cody, Derek and wife Hanna, and Reed Dickson, grandsons Clinton, and Cole and wife Amanda Hoelscher. Great granddaughter Brittany Dickson, great grandsons James and Samuel Dickson. Special thanks to Dr. Eric Bernicker, Methodist Hospital nurses, and staff.
