WELDON DAVID CADE Jr.

WELDON DAVID CADE JR., born in Hermann Hospital Nov. 15, 1938, passed away surrounded by family July 28, 2010, in the same hospital as his birth.Known as David, he was preceded in death by parents Weldon David Cade Sr. and Sue Elizabeth Sexton Cade. His memory lives on in loving wife Rosanna Cade; son David Warren Cade and wife Donna; daughter Holley Wells Cade; stepsons David Roethler and John Furnish; grandchildren Jackson Cade, Dalton Cade and Cameron Cade; sister Diane Cade Hyatt and Gordon Hyatt; brother Lewis Cade; nieces Elizabeth Herring Morrell, Catherine Herring Bennett and Chandler Cade; 4 great-nephews and 1 great-niece. A 1956 graduate of La Porte High School, David was also an Eagle Scout. He attended the University of Texas. With the talent to assemble and disassemble anything mechanical, David's career spanned many aspects of engineering.A lifelong boater, he lived most of his life on Galveston Bay and was proud to be known as "Bay Rat."A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Aug. 2 at the Webster Presbyterian Church, 201 West Nasa Parkway. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the American Diabetes Association.
