Bernard Correia

Bernard Anthony Correia II (AO1), 69, of Pearland, Texas, passed away January 21, 2014. He was born June 12, 1944 in East Providence, Rhode Island. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring from the reserves in 1985. He is predeceased by his son, Bernard Anthony Correia III (Ensign), his brother, Roy K. Correia and by his parents Bernard Anthony Correia (CW04) and Agnes Rose Correia. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Marilyn Mochman Correia and two sons, Parker Webb Correia and Baxter Cole Correia; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was a chemist by profession and was a lifelong entrepreneur. He held a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Texas and was president and CEO of Crest Industrial Chemicals which he started in 1985. He owned several businesses and patented several devices. He loved boating and firearms and especially loved to travel.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 27, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at American Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the American Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Houston National Cemetery at 1:15 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation
