Brian Holden

BRIAN HOLDEN, beloved husband, father, son, friend and colleague passed away peacefully at his home in Sugar Land, Texas on 16th February 2009, after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on February 20th, 1953, in Wigan, England, he moved to Cheshire as a child and attended Sir John Dean's Grammar School. He graduated from Aberdeen University, Scotland, in 1977 where he excelled in rugby, playing for Scottish Universities. Brian began his career in the Oil industry with Lasalle in Aberdeen and moved to Sugar Land in 1995 to continue his job with Unocal. He is survived by Moira, his wife of 27 years, sons Stuart and Euan, daughter Rachel, parents Donald and Marion, sister-in-law Fiona and a loving extended family in Wigan, England. The Holden family would like to express their gratitude to Robert Wolff and his team at MD Anderson Cancer Center for their attentive care over the past 6 years. A celebration of his life will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Friday the 20th of February at Christ United Methodist Church, 3300 Austin Parkway in Sugar Land.
