Bryan Lee Haneline, Jr. was born on July 20, 1930 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Bryan and Mattie Haneline. He went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2013. He is preceded in death by his sisters June King and Martha Brenner. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Ann Haneline; daughters Linda Wheaton and Kathy Zimmerman; grandchildren Kristan Silguero and husband Rick Silguero, Jonathan Schreiber, Lauren Wheaton and husband Keith Smith, Sarah Schreiber and husband Eric Wong; great-grandchildren Christopher Silguero, Chase Silguero and Arya Smith; brother James Haneline; sisters Norma Duderstadt, Dorothy Richardson and Mary McCracken; and many other family members and friends.
Bryan served 1 year in the National Guard of Texas receiving an Honorable Discharge while attending Reagan High School where he graduated in 1948. He joined the United States Navy
July, 1948 and served 5 years Honorably Discharged as Aviation Electrician's Mate First Class. Bryan continued his education attending University of Houston while working in the Petro Chemical Industry. He was an Engineer at Dow Chemical retiring after 25 years in 1994. He loved the Lord, family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and doing projects around his home. For recreation, he loved fishing, boating, camping and traveling always with his grandchildren or great-grandchildren.
Bryan was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and served as an usher. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate his life 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2013 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 Watonga Blvd., Houston, Texas 77092. A Veteran Service follows at 1:30 p.m., Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
