Charles Foley

Charles W. Foley, 94, born in Houston April 3, 1919, died October 27, 2013.
Mr Foley was predeceased by wives Louise Foley, Dorothy Warren Foley and companion Cathie Petersen, son Charles Gary Foley, brothers Clyde (Pat) Foley and Joe E. Foley. He is survived by daughter Charlotte Hicks-Wilson, son-in-law Thomas Wilson, MD, sister Kathryn Foley Brown, grandson Shawn Michael Hicks, his wife Rosemarie Salo Hicks, great grandson Shane Michael Hicks, age 3 months, grandson Kevin Foley Hicks, his wife Melissa Chiasson Hicks. Mr. Foley is also survived by numerous family members, friends, and especially nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Mr. Foley graduated from San Jacinto High School and then moved to the Spring Branch area, becoming a lifelong resident. He was an electrical and building contractor, a WWII army veteran, a 60+ member of SP Waltrip Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. He retired at age 55, traveled extensively; scuba dove numerous places throughout the world with beloved wife Dorothy, and always enjoyed visiting family and friends.
Visitation with the family will be held, Friday, November 1, 2013 from 6pm-8pm at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Services will be 2pm Saturday in the Waltrip Chapel. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
