Wilson, 80, passed away in Georgetown, Texas on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. A native Houstonian, he was born September 5, 1932, to Dr. Charles Homer Wilson and Marion Cox Wilson.
Everett graduated from Lamar High School in 1950 and obtained his Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1955. He was a registered Professional Engineer and enjoyed a long career in Houston's oil and gas industry until he retired in 1991.
Everett was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle who participated in the lives of his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Joan Granlund Wilson; daughter, Kristi Soehnge and husband Charles; son, Mike Wilson; grandchildren, Nick and Jordan DiGiacomo; nephew, Raymond Granlund; and niece, Vanessa Pyle and husband Nick.
Everett H. Wilson will be remembered in a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch, 23030 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Katy, Texas 77450. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
