Greg Kraus

Gregory Darrel Kraus, age 56, passed away on May 8, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father Albert Carl Kraus. He is survived by his beloved wife, Holly King Kraus; her children, Matthew and Whitney; and her granddaughter, Kylan Hoke; his mother, Sharon Watson Kraus; his children, Andrew and Natalie; and their mother, Leslie Kraus; his brother, Brad (Lori); and their children, Courtney; and her son, Ryder and Kenny (Kelly); and their son, Karter; his sister, Pam Kraus Francis (Harry); and her children, Lyndsey and Dustin; his brother, Cliff (Denise); and their sons, Mitch and Reid; and numerous lifelong friends. Greg was born June 7, 1956 in Bozeman, Montana. Greg's youth was spent in many space-oriented locations: Seattle, Washington; Huntsville, Alabama; Slidell, Louisiana, and finally Houston, Texas in 1967. Greg graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1974 and attended Houston Baptist University and Paris Junior College on golf scholarships, as well as the University of Texas. His career in the catalyst field for nearly 30 years resulted in top-level management positions that afforded him the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world. Greg was greatly respected for his expertise and will be remembered as a big man with a big heart who had an abundance of love for his family and friends. Above all else, Greg was a loving father who proudly shared the accomplishments of his children, Andrew and Natalie, who remained at the center of his heart. In lieu of flowers or other customary remembrances, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the at P.O. Box 570127, Houston, Texas 77257. The family will receive visitors Monday, May 13 from 10:00-11:00 am at James Crowder Funeral Home, Webster, TX. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am. Internment will immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster, TX 77598.
