Holt Smith

Holt Thomas Smith, 20 of Houston, Tx and a student at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, was called home March 14, 2013. A memorial service will be held today, March 17 at Bay Area Christian Church, 14550 Hwy 3, Webster, TX 77598, at 3pm. Please come and celebrate his life with us.
Holt graduated from Clear Lake High School May 2011 and was studying criminal justice in college. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, and was an Eagle Scout. Since birth Bay Area Christian has been his home church. Holt served in many leadership positions in high school JROTC, and loved Ranger Swim. Holt had a passion for people and the outdoors, and he planned to be a game warden or police officer after college graduation. His main desire was to serve and protect others. He loved our community and country.
A loving son, beloved brother, and devoted friend, he will live in our hearts forever.
Holt is survived by his parents, Bart and Rebecca Smith, Wichita, KS, brothers Ross and Kirk, Dallas-Ft. Worth; grandparents Dale and Marilyn Smith, Cut Bank, Montana; aunts Dale McGilvray and husband Gary, Plano, Lindy Guajardo and husband Eli, Stateline, NV, Sherry Kitts and husband Glen, Hixson, Tenn, Sharon Taulman, Irving, Janice Gomez and husband Rene, Friendswood; Uncle Peter and Grandma Billie, along with numerous cousins; and his best friends in addition to his brothers and cousins, Ryan Mays and Ryan Lemoine, David, Colton, and so many others.
