KEVIN F. HECKMAN , age 58, was born in Louisville, Kentucky on the February 3rd, 1955; and after a heroic battle with cancer, his spirit left us on May 16, 2013. Kevin was an All- State football Champion in 1972 and graduate of Trinity High School in 1973. He went on to major at the University of Louisville in Business. Kevin enjoyed a successful, award winning career that spanned over 28 years in the technology industry. His experience included corporate leadership, national account management, and corporate marketing with a commitment to succeed with an entrepreneurial spirit. Kevin enjoyed a new challenge, and relished in the opportunity to celebrate each achievement as if it was his first. His quick paced career brought him to Sugar Land, Texas in 1994; where he has since lived, laughed, and shared many precious memories with his loved ones; his devoted wife Alice Heckman, his 4 beautiful daughters, and he was "Pepaw" to 4 precious grandchildren that he adored and cherished with all of his heart.
Kevin took advantage of any opportunity to spend precious time with his grandchildren, daughters, and always had an open door policy at the Heckman House of Love. Everyone was welcome and always treated with love and respect. He shared a common "do it yourself" trait with his wife, Alice, in which they spent many a weekends remodeling their home and dreaming up new, fun projects together. Kevin always claimed that she was the brains while he was the muscle! Weekend barbeques, smoking his legendary ribs and brisket, and being outdoors were a part of his normal routine. He lived for his family and loved unconditionally. His tenacious spirit, commitment, fun loving personality, and dance moves will be greatly missed.
Kevin leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Alice Heckman; and daughters, Cortnie Heckman, Candace Heckman, Tessa Hyman and Meredith Hyman; son, Keith Warner- Louisville, KY; and grandchildren, R. Cole, William Ryder, Peyton Riley, and Olivia Grace- all residents of Sugar Land, TX. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Lou Jean Heckman- Louisville, KY; brother, Dwain Heckman and wife, Jane; sister, Cheryl Bauman- Louisville, KY; and brother, Eric Heckman and wife, Lou Anne- St. Petersburg, FL. In addition to numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family that will all miss him dearly. Kevin was preceded in his path to glory by his father, William "Boots" Heckman; and his brothers, Mark Heckman and Bob Bauman.
