Lewis Monteleone

Lewis Peter Monteleone passed away peacefully early December 13th. Those who will cherish his memories are his loving wife of 42 years, Helen Jean, his three children, daughter Tara McCall and husband Kasey, son Joseph and wife Lacy, and daughter Gina, along with his four grandchildren Aubrey, Ellie, Marlee, and Reagan. He is also survived by his mother, Mary of DelRay Beach, Florida, sister Roseann and husband Tom Nicchi of Connecticut, brother Charles of Kemah, and brother Thomas and wife Barbara of New York.
Lewis was born in Brooklyn, NY October 13, 1944. He came from a military family and traveled extensively throughout his childhood. He served in the Air National Guard for six years before moving to Vermont with the love of his life. After many adventures on the farm, the two settled down in Texas where Lewis owned and operated Hall's Ship Supply from 1985 until his retirement in 2010.
Lewis enjoyed fishing in Galveston and being entertained by his grandchildren. He was an avid gardener and loved all of nature.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 5-8pm at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble followed by a memorial service Monday at noon. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Houston Hospice at 1905 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030.
