Lois Blais

Lois Dorothy Blais, only child of James G. and Clara Blais, passed away on November 19, 2012, one day after her 81st Birthday.
Lois attended Valparaiso University and graduated from the University of Texas.She was a teacher, librarian, Girl Scout Leader and Camp Director and World Traveler. Her teaching experience included HISD, Pasadena ISD, Clear Creek ISD and teaching overseas for the United States Air Force. Wherever she went she made friends of all ages. Lois served as a host for both young and old with the Exchange Program of Experiment in International Living. She taught in Okinawa, Japan, England and Germany. Lois was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, Alpha Delta Kappa, Clear Creek Assoc. Retired Teachers and Gloria Dei Friendship Club.
A Memorial will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, at 18220 Upper Bay Road, Houston, TX.,77058 on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at 11 A.M.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (address above), or Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council, 3110 Southwest Freeway, Houston,TX, 77098 or Experiment in International Living, World Learning, 1 Kipling Rd., P.O. Lois is survived by many friends worldwide and her adopted family - Jo and Ann Petty, David L., Lisa, Clayton and Andrew Petty.
