Myles Clayton "Red" Christensen, 82, of Houston passed away Monday July 1, 2013. He was born May 31, 1931 in Halliday, ND to Otto and Maida Christensen. Myles is survived by his children, Dean Clayton Christensen & wife Cydney and DeAnn Cherice Christensen.
Mr. Christensen grew up in the Elbow Woods, Halliday area of North Dakota. He entered the US Army
in 1951 and proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict
as a Corporal. He married Beverly Ann Hansen in 1956 and raised his family in New Town. During the next 53 years he worked as a farmer and in the oil field; he worked for Cenex for many years as well as being a postal carrier and an employee of the City of New Town, ND. Myles also ran Red's Septic Service in New Town. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and gardening. He often took his family on vacations camping, snow mobiling and spending time with his family. He moved to Houston in 2009 and lived in Tarrytowne Estates where he was the resident photographer. He loved Houston and living at Tarrytowne. He took many bus trips with his neighbors seeing so many of the sites in the Houston area. Myles was very well liked by his many friends, always ready to help out when he could, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The Christensen family would like to especially thank Dr. Drtil and Dr. Hasnain for their compassionate and professional care they provided Myles during his last years.
