Ryan Bennett

Ryan Scott Bennett passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the age of 22. He was born on December 6, 1990 in Houston, Texas.
Ryan is survived by his adoring parents, Cindy and Dan Bennett, sister Paige, brother Michael (wife, Megan and children, Marley and Monrow). Also, loving grandparents, Maxine and the late Gene Bennett, Dotty and Gayle Gerson, Charlyn Robinson and Larry Layne, and an abundance of extended family and friends.
Ryan was a graduating Senior at Texas Tech University in the Rawls College of Business. He was a member of the Energy Commerce Association and Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Ryan loved everything about college life, his friends, and his years in Lubbock. His major was Business with a concentration in Energy and just recently completed a successful Land Internship with Swift Energy in Houston.
He grew up in Cypress and was a graduate of Cy Woods High School, where he excelled at both Ice and Roller Hockey, and had a passion for music, playing drums and guitar. His formative years in Cypress included Swim Team, Hockey, Soccer, Little League Baseball, Boy Scouts, and many other interests. Ryan was an exceptional athlete and student.
Ryan spent his summers at Camp Fern in Marshall, Texas as both a camper and counselor where he made friends and instilled values in both campers and staff alike. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Temple Sinai, 13875 Brimhurst Drive. A Celebration of Ryan's Life will also be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Bennett family home.
