Vicky Reynolds

Vicky De Maronese - Reynolds, 55, went to walk with God, on February 27, 2013, after a 9-year battle with Breast Cancer. Vicky was known for her smile and upbeat nature and was always encouraging to her friends, family and other women fighting breast cancer. She was the owner of Customized Concepts, a bookkeeping firm, which she started in 2001. She was a long time member of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA), the Federation of Houston Professional Women (FHPW), and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). Vicky was honored by FHPW as a Woman of Excellence in 1999, by her local ABWA chapter as the Woman of the Year in 2011, and by NAWBO as the 2012 Houston Woman Business Owner of the Year. She was also a long time volunteer and committed ambassador for The Rose, a nonprofit organization, that provides access to screening, diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer to any woman regardless of her ability to pay.
Vicky was a great rescuer of cats, which many of her friends now have as family members. She was a fantastic Italian cook and loved travelling to Italy. Vicky also loved to watch the sunsets on the beach and enjoyed many trips to Aruba and on cruise ships.
She is survived by her parents, Pat and Ann De Maronese; her brother Michael, his wife Kristen, and their three children, Caitlyn, Reece and Bryce; and her two cats Kahlua and Marcello. Her husband, Jay Reynolds, preceded her in death in 2008.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 on Saturday, April 13th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1612 East Walker Street, League City, Texas, with a celebration of her life immediately following in the Cargill Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Rose or the Federation of Houston Professional Women Educational Fund.
