AMANDA KAYE LINSCOMB, beloved by family and friends, passed away unexpectedly on April 15th, 2010 at the young age of 30. Amanda graduated from Angleton High School in 1998 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003. While in Austin, she was active in the Victory Reading Program, which provides free tutoring services for bilingual and at-risk children. From an early age, Amanda was also a compassionate advocate for the humane treatment of animals, and provided foster services to countless stray dogs and cats.A private memorial service was held on May 1 as she was laid to rest near her beloved Mimi and Papaw Linscomb.
