Richard Leasure

Richard Leasure, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in Clymer, PA, on March 19, 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ord Penrose Leasure and Gertrude Faye Smith Leasure. Richard is survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 50 years, Lorraine; sons: Doug and wife Luane, Rob and wife Michelle; and daughter Susan Christie and husband Ted; brother Gerald and wife Flossie, sisters Elinor Douville, Fran Sutton and husband Frank; grandchildren Alexis Christie, Jonathan, Leslie, Sean, Carson, and Allie Leasure; great-granddaughter Bayleigh Leasure; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard moved to Texas in 1964 and was employed at Mira Pak, Dow B. Hickam, Imperial Plastics, Autonation and most recently, Sonic Automotive.
He had a passion for cars, especially Fords and showed his '58 Fairlane and '57 Ranchero at numerous car shows which won several awards. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday March 9, 2012, in the sanctuary at First United Methodist Church of Missouri City.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Institute for Cancer Research or the .
