Jeffery Verdun

Jeffery Rudolph Verdun Jeffery Rudolph Verdun was born on January 16, 1929 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He died on August 27, 2013, in Houston, Texas.
Jeffery graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School in Lake Charles. Immediately after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army rising to the rank of Sargent and serving in Japan. While in the military he met the love of his life, Lillie Mae Latiolais. They married on June 9, 1951 and to this holy union three sons were born: Eric, David and Gerald. He was unparalleled as a cement mason and retired as a member of Cement Masons Union Local 681.
Jeffery is survived by his three sons Eric Wade Verdun, David Rene' (Debra) Verdun and Gerald Andre' (Venus) Verdun; grandchildren Sean (Shannon) Verdun, Ebony (Eric) Keller, Shica (Bruce) Davis, Jr., Derrick Verdun, Lacy Verdun and her mother, Michelle Verdun; great-grandchildren Quincy Verdun, Cameron Verdun, Isaiah Verdun and Celeste Verdun, Nyia Keller, Jaden Keller and Jaxon Keller (expected in October). He had more friends and admirers than the average man, all due to his quiet demeanor and generous nature.
All services are scheduled for Friday, August 30, 2013 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4600 Reed Rd., Houston, TX. The wake/visitation will begin at 8:45 am, the recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9:15 am and the Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Jeffery will be escorted to Paradise Cemetery South where he will once again be at his wife's side.
