JACK MINTER Obituary

JACK CARTER MINTER, 82, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010.Jack served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from Shell Oil after 35 years of service. Mr. Minter is preceded in death by his son, Gary Lynn Minter, brothers; George Minter and Jerry Minter.He is survived by his wife Betty Minter, son Ken Minter (Debbie) grandchildren; Russsell Minter, Margaret Seay (Brad), Wendy Minter, Justin Minter and Ryan Minter. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 25, 2010, 1pm 2pm at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled for 2pm in the Family Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.In Liu of flowers the family request all donations be made out to the: Susan G. Komen for the Cure Houston Affiliate, 5433 Westheimer Rd., Suite 325, Houston, Texas 77056.

Mr. Minter was my baseball manager in the early 60's. Thank you Mr. Minter for giving us your time. We had fun!

Mr. Minter was my baseball coach, early '60's. A very good teacher and man. Thanks to all who give of their time to teach the children. Life's lesson's last a lifetime. Thank you, Mr. MInter. We had fun!
