We lived next door to the Rowland's on Pine St around 1967,68 until about 1976 or so. Spent many afternoon over there playing with her grand-kids and hanging out with them. I tried snails for the first time over there, and Mr. Rowland protected me from the bullies across the street. What amazing and friendly people they were. So sorry to here of Mrs. Rowland's passing, both of them will be missed.

Beth and family, She was a role model to all women interested in being the "Renaissance" woman that she was. As mother of Beth when we were young, I was intimidated by her intellect as I figured she would always know if we fibbed. You will have a lifetime of sweet memories. God Bless,

I remember Jane as a very kind and caring lady. My parents Pauline and Boyd Kilgore knew her in the Seekers Sunday School Class at Bellaire Methodist. I was friends with her son John in high school and at SMU. My deepest sympathy for your loss.

To Jane's family. I believe that Jane was an independent woman with a mind of her own. She was very interesting - and active in days past when I knew her most. Exercising, getting involved in causes of importance, was interested in finances - and where I knew her best - so very active in our church, Bellaire United Methodist. She was also a part of Seekers Sunday School Class - same as me - and she was active in other places as well. I have a feeling that she got herself just as involved in her home at Clarewood. Her recent illnesses and accidents may have slowed her down, but the last time I saw her (about a year ago) she was interested in hearing how I was and what I was doing. She was an interesting and interested person! She has had a full life, and has made a difference in the lives of many.
