Judy, you don't know me, and my acquintance with Joe was a long time ago. We were juniors at San Jac,and I sat in front of him in geometry class. It didn't take me long to recognize what a kind, nice person he was then. So now I'm not surprised to know that he was just so all his life. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I pray that you and your children will soon be able to go on with a life, not diminished by his absence but fulfilled for his having been with you.

Judy, you probably don't remember me but I have known Joe since the 60's as I worked for a Company that Ei2 represented at the time. A true gentleman and family man. A friend of mine from Prescott Ariz. called and told me of Joe's passing. I was able to contact Warren Coleman through my brother in Thomasville about 7:00 PM tonight but Charlie had called and left word on his machine. Although I haven't been in contact with Joe in many years, I just wanted to tell you that he was and is truly loved and Heaven has a wonderful person. Our love to you and your beautiful family.

My condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Schmid. May you be comforted by looking forward to a time when all causes of death and the heartaches it brings will be no more.

Judy and Family, Joe was a wonderful person and among the nicest I have ever met. He was the President of Pine Forest when I applied to join as a new member in the early 1990s and I was lucky to have him as my host for my golf round as a prospective member. I remember thinking that, if all members were like Joe Schmid, this was definitely a place where I wanted to be. I was so fortunate to share his friendship at Pine Forest for almost 20 years. Words cannot express the sadness I felt when I read of Joe's passing. I met Joe in the 70's through my boss and his good friend, Glenn Hefner. Joe was such a nice man, always upbeat and just a pleasure to be around. Judy, I am so sorry. You are in my prayers.

Mr Schmid was a great neighbor when I was young visiting my friend on South Ivy Circle. Years later at the rodeo cookoff he was a joy to be around.

Joe was a honest and trust worthy man. I repected Joe alot. He was a good competitor and I considered him as a friend. Joe always had a smile on his face and gave you a firm hand shake when he met you. Joe will be greatly missed by myself and the water and wastewater community.

Good Bye Joe and see you in the next life.
