What a pleasure to have been a part of Jim's life these last 4 years. I am his brother Allen's(not yet legally)wife!!He never failed to smile or make a person laugh. I loved that about him & admired him for the love he gave to his family. After all the yrs.he seemed to look deep into his wifes eyes when they danced.Such love!He was also the best brother to Allen.Always there @ anytime for him.Jim will be greatly missed until we see him again. Love, Deborah

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. I just found out today and I am totally heartbroken. March 15 made 2 years without our Dad - I truly understand your loss. I know Dad and Jim are catching up in heaven and they are watching over us all now. He will be missed by all. Keep his spirit alive by talking to the grandkids about him often. Cherish the pictures and memories you have.
Love to you all,

I have known Jim for a few years we worked out together at the Recreation center, lifting weights.
Our wives are good friends, Jim enjoyed visiting and going out to eat at local restaurants
Jim was proud of his family, and enjoyed life, he had an outgoing personality
It has only been a few weeks since we were running laps at the basketball court
Jim will be missed.

Jimmie and I spent several years together in the Eagle Lake Schools -- up to our graduating High School together in 1960. He was always a positive influence to those around him -- with his ready smile and quick sense of humor. I haven't seen him since the 60's. I can tell by looking at the pictures he had a beautiful family. Our condolences to all of you. Clinton & Mary Duyka

How many years have pasted! Jimmie and I were best of friends in old Eagle Lake High School and years later. The memories that I cherish about our times together will never be forgotten. We lost contact in the 1970's and never contacted one another for some unknown reason. How I wished we could have reminisced over old times. Catherine and I send our sympathy to Becky, Bryan and the rest of the family.

I shed a few tears as I watched the video of Jimmy's life. You could see it in his eyes and smile that he loved his family so much. I am Jimmy's first cousin, his mother and my mother (Ethlyn Hajek Kovar) were sisters. Growing up I always felt like Jimmy was the big brother I never had. He always had that wonderful smile and such a caring person. The last time I talked to him was at my mom's funeral four years ago. She passed away on March 24, 2006. I know that Maxine and my mom were waiting with open arms and when we see that wonderful sunrays in the sky, just smile because I know that's a part of Jimmy smiling back. Unfortunately we cannot make the service tomorrow, so at this time we wanted to express our deepest sympathy and prayers to all of his family.

I haven't seen Jimmy in years; actually, since I was a kid in Wharton. He and my dad remained close over the years. I know dad will miss him terribly. I did have the pleasure of reconnecting with Jimmie about 2-1/2 years ago and am very glad I did. I'll always remember his hearty (contagious) laughter and zest for life. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at your time of loss. God bless.
