My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. I will be praying for you all. I especially send my love to my dear friend, Vicki Manning. You were blessed with a wonderful and loving grandmother. Someday, you will be together again. May God bless you during this difficult time.
Thinking of you,

No, I Love You More
If I ever needed comfort from the world’s hectic demands, Grandma Dorris was there for me. Sometimes it was a kind word, and sometimes it was a smile that she offered. Mostly though, it was a hug from Grandma Dorris that told me that she loved me just the way I am and that everything was going to be all right. Not many people in this world can comfort you so completely as that.
Grandma Dorris’s immediate smile welcomed me into her heart the first time we met all those years ago. She was always so patient, gentle, and God bless her, she always took my side if I was having a crummy day. There is nothing like a grandma’s unconditional love, and Vicki and I felt very fortunate to have our amazing grandmas and to be able to share them with each other the way we did.
I will never forget Grandma Dorris telling a story about flying in a military plane. What meant the most to me was hearing the confidence in her voice. That day I not only loved her for her gentleness but also respected her for her dedication to serve our country in the military.
There is only one thing that comforts me in knowing she is gone from this world and from all of us who love and miss her. That one thing is that she is in heaven right now hanging out with Dawn, Robert, and Elvis Presley.
Grandma Doris, I am sorry I could not be here with you today, but you will always be in my heart and…
I LOVE YOU MORE!
Love, Carrie
