THOMAS LINS Obituary

Thomas Paul Lins, of 2410 Possum Creek, Houston, Texas died November 21, 2011.
Mr. Lins was born February 8, 1923, in Spring Green, Wisconsin. He attended the local schools, and during the Second World War served with the 15th Air Force as a radio-operator-gunner on a B-24 flying from bases in Italy. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, May 1947, with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He worked for the Carter and Creole Oil Corporations in western and southern United States, and in South America.
He graduated from Marquette University, February 1956, with an MA and married Mary Elizabeth Boyle, in June of that year. He worked for the AC (later the Delco) Electronics Corporation, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Lins, his wife and children completed a move to Houston, February 20, 1963. He worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at the Johnson Space Center for the next 27 years, and for the Eagle Engineering Corporation upon retirement from NASA.
Lins is survived by his wife, Betty, his children Mary Win Lins, Joseph Lins and wife Julie, Margaret Pevoto and husband Danny, John Lins and wife Melissa, and James Lins and wife Sherrie. He is survived by grandchildren Joe Shetler, Matthew Shetler and wife Wendy, John Lins, Jeanne Lins, Keith Pevoto and wife Kimberly, Claire McGehee and husband James, Laura Pevoto, Meg Pevoto, Mike Lins, Sarah Lins, Angie Lins, Elizabeth Lins, Katherine Lins and Madeline Lins. He is survived by one great-grandchild, Joan Shetler.
Funeral Arrangements are through Compean Funeral Home. A Rosary will be said at St. Augustine Catholic Church on November 25th at 7 PM and the funeral mass will be said the following day, November 26th, also at St. Augustine Church at 10:00 AM. The church address is 5438 Laurel Creek Way, Houston, TX 77017. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Magnificat House, POBox 25415, Houston, TX.77265.
