Charles Laperouse Obituary

CHARLES I. LAPEROUSE, 87, passed away on July 25, 2014, preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Mary; his father Elmore, mother Leonie, brother Lloyd, and sister Sandra Davis. Survived by his son, James and wife, Debbie; daughter, Renee Falls, and husband Dewayne; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; loving in-laws, Pauline and Vernon Eschenfelder, Joe and Bessie Falsone and Mary Falsone.
He served in the United States Army in World War II and returned to go into business as owner of Breaux Drugs (later Lap's Drugs), in Stafford and later managed Avalon Drugs in Houston for 23 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Missouri City, a Charter Member of the Sta-Mo Lions Club( 1957), The Knights of Columbus, Stafford Historical Society, Golden Friendship Group, a past Parade Marshall for the City of Stafford, and was an original member of The Stafford Volunteer Fire Department.
Visitation and Rosary will be 6 to 8PM, Monday, July 28th at Earthman Southwest. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 29th, 1PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Missouri City, with interment to follow at Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.

I got to know Charles when my daughter Heather married Stuart. He was a kind and wonderful person, a blessing to be around and to know. He will be missed by all.
