Linzy Cole Jr.
1948-2016
Linzy Cole Jr. was born in Dallas, TX in 1948 where he graduated from James Madison High School. Linzy is a Hall of Fame member of both Texas Christian University and Trinity Valley Community College. He was the first African American in the TCU football program. Linzy played 4 seasons in the NFL with the Chicago Bears, Houston Oilers, and Buffalo Bills. He is survived by his wife, two sons, sister, brother and five grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Chapel, 7723 Beechnut, Houston, TX 77074. Linzy was my first College Football Hero. I was a 7 years old when I saw him play at T.C.U. He was fast, ran great routes and had great hands. I'll always remember him.
