Alison loved teaching her students abot Geology, The Solar System, The BIG BANG, and History of the world.I was one of her many graduate stdents who learn so much from her. As a teacher myself and her student she loved life and her profession with fun and passion.... An amazing person and a role model to many. R.I.P. professor Alison Henning.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Alison's death this week. I knew her through AGU meetings and I took over her portion of a class at Rice last year. Alison was very generous with her time and knowledge. I also was amazed at her organization skills. But mostly I enjoyed talking with her about our common interests in geophysics and teacher training. She was a wonderful person. My sincere condolences on your loss.

Dear Tod,
I was just told about Allison's death on 8-30 after telling Jack to say hello to his parents. I was shocked and saddened to learn from others at the Timbergrove ballpark that Allison had died. Please accept the condolences of me and my family. Debra, Jefferson, and I have had some of our best times at your annual Christmas party. Allison always made us feel at home, and we can't believe she is gone. If you need anything please let us know. I will be in touch.

I don't know what to say except I'm so sorry for Allison's passing. If only the thoughts, prayers and love of all those that have been touched by or knew Allison could erase the pain your family is going through. I know they cannot, but you have our thoughts and love, memories and prayers anyway.
